The journey to the wrestling ring begins with a single step, and for those in the Metro Detroit area, that step leads to Ringmasters Pro Wrestling School in Eastpointe, MI. Becoming a successful professional wrestler requires dedication, athletic training, and—most importantly—the right foundation. At Ringmasters, we don’t believe in endless training without a goal. We offer a comprehensive, 12-week pro wrestling training program designed to take you from a curious beginner to a fully trained professional ready for your first match.

Why a 12-Week Wrestling Program Works
Many professional wrestling schools offer open-ended training, which seems like a good value, however long-term it can be expensive and slow your progress. Our 12-week program is structured, intensive, and focused, leveraging the 100+ years of combined experience of our training team. There is a lot to learn in pro wrestling, however The Ringmasters program has broken this information down into three critical sections, ensuring you master each set of skills before moving forward.
Fundamentals & Conditioning
This is where we test your commitment and build your body for the rigors of the ring. It can be extremely hard at the beginning, but stick with it! The Ringmasters team is supportive – we’ve all been through it ourselves so we know how you feel!
- Bumping Basics: Safely mastering the art of taking a fall (bumps) on your back, stomach, and side. Ring safety is the top priority at Ringmasters.
- Cardio & Ring Shape: Intensive conditioning drills to get you into “ring shape.” If you can’t go 10 minutes, you can’t be a pro.
- The Rolls: Forward and backward rolls, critical for agility and protecting your neck and head during complex maneuvers.
- Rope Work: Learning to hit the ropes, a fundamental skill that requires timing and control.

Technique & Psychology
With your foundation set, these elements shift focus to in-ring execution and storytelling—the “mental” game of wrestling.
- Chain Wrestling: Mastering collar-and-elbow tie-ups, takedowns, wristlocks, and other technical wrestling holds.
- Selling & Facial Expressions: Learning to communicate pain, anger, and excitement to the audience without saying a word. This is the heart of ring psychology.
- Basic Move Set: Introduction to slams, suplexes, and strikes, always emphasizing safety.
- Character Development: Working with our trainers to define your unique persona, look, and style—your wrestling “brand.”

Performance & Professionalism
Put it all together, integrate all your skills and prepare for your debut and a career in the business.
- Match Structure: Learning how to put together a logical, engaging match from start to finish.
- Interview & Camera Work: Training on promos and interacting with a camera, essential skills for modern sports entertainment.
- Live Event Integration: As a Ringmasters student, you get direct exposure through our partnership with City Championship Wrestling (CCW), which runs weekly shows right out of our multi-ring training facility.
- Graduation & Debut: You must meet regimented qualifications to successfully complete the 12-week pro wrestling program. Once you do, you are ready for your first professional match!
